Having fallen into the black hole that is deck-building, I wanted to put together a deck for someone I don’t play to often and see if I can reignite the want to play them again.
So, Spectrum it is.
I want to like her mechanic, I really do, but sometimes it’s not easy to make things click for you. However, when doing this one, as I have with my other Basic decks, plenty of grey were going in, so thought I’d carry on.
The deck idea here is to change form and ready as much as possible.
Upgrades-wise, Soaring Acrobatics is a win and of course Deft Focus as her Event cards are a little pricey. Let’s buff her up with some Endurance too.
Onto Supports where Helicarrier and Quincarrier for more resource generation, Crew Quarters for some extra healing and Front Organization is a very helpful new card in Agents of Shield.
As Gamma Blast carries overkill, I thought I may as well throw in Directed Force.
As for all the readying, she’s an Avenger, so Blade / Earth's Mightiest Heroes combo kicks in and three copies of Ready to Rumble should keep her motor running.
Other allies are there to support; Professor X for confuse/thwart/block, Hope Summers to help dig for a superpower card and Ironheart for card draw. Oh and Sidearm to help out too.
And that’s it. Actually not bad. I hope.

I like this idea. I made an all-basic Rogue deck a couple weeks ago, because all-basic is a great way to thin the deck and see just the hero cards more frequently. And that should work well with Spectrum too.
I find Directed Force a curious include, since it has only three conditional targets.. seems statistically more likely to whiff than hit.
That aside, this looks great. I will need to build it when I get home because I've also not played Spectrum very much and I want to like her!
