LACK OF SUBTLETY · 2205

There are a grand total of 6 other Maria Hill Pool decks published on Marvelcdb at the time I am publishing this, and none of them use this combo, so I feel like I'm not treading on familiar ground here.

In a discussion I realized that Headpool can make ANY minion, even elites, become a virtual ally for one attack. I have also always wanted to find a really solid use for Negasonic Teenage Warhead. This deck allows you to take advantage of both.

Things you are going to want to get into play:

Field Agents - for Headpool and Nick Fury. This will allow Headpool to remain in play for multiple attacks and even use his THW 2 when there are no minions to chomp.

Med Teams - for Negasonic Teenage Warhead. She doesn't even exhaust to use her ability, so you can keep her alive and still have her activate. Note that she does not take consequential damage when attacking or thwarting.

Since this is a Pool deck where you want to keep the allies around, Maria will need to deal with defending as well as negative icons. This deck leans into her survivability with Med Team, Barely a Scratch and Healing Factor. While "I Got This" allows her to capitalize on on icons in play.

Some notes:

Kidpool is your only ally you don't care about sticking around. Use him up and chump block with him as needed. Everyone else is more valuable in play unless the situation is dire.

When activating Headpool's special ability, be sure to look for minions that have bonus effects when the minion attacks a "character", as those kickers will affect enemies.

In Multiplayer, you might want to switch out the Tac Team cards for The Circe. With the big Pool resource cards and several allies to get into play, it can be useful for you, but is an even bigger help to your teammates.
