The Cho-sen One

I've always been bummed that Iceman wasn't able to use Sidekick to take advantage of Side-by-Side's readies. Well, you don't have to worry about that anymore, thanks to Cameo!

There are tons of signature allies that are "Cameo viable", and rightfully so. With effects like Ms. Marvel's response to recur events, or Captain Marvel's activation-based card draw, it's hard to go wrong. But one worthy signature ally that may be flying under the radar is Amadeus Cho. In fact, Snolze's Big green and the Other Guy shows Cho's potential as an awesome Cameo selection.

While it may not be as thematic, we're going with a Cho Cameo for Iceman.

Cho-zen Solid

The priority is to get Cho out as early as possible. You are set back a few cards, making your start up slow, but as Iceman, you excel at control. Suit Up into him and Sidekick as early as possible to get Side-by-Side online. The readies provided by it are the frozen core of this deck.

Build up your resource generators as they become available and slap down your Ice events to clear threats as needed.

Utopia and X-allies provide additional readies and support as well as fodder for "You Got This!".

Ice-adeus Cho

Once you get going and throw down a Side-by-Side or two in a single turn, it feels really good. The extra cards help you play exactly what you need while also maintaining control through additional Frostbites.

I've also included an Honorary X-Men for Cho so you have the option to ready him with Utopia, but it's not necessary and readying Iceman is usually a better call unless the extra card can solve an immediate problem.

I've had a ton of fun with this deck recently, and I believe it will only get better as time goes on. It has plenty of room for encounter-specific tweaks and sideboard while still keeping the core of using Cho for extra card draw and Side-by-Side for additional readies/damage/frostbites.
