OK, it's time to stir things up. Jessica Jones is the most powerful hero in Marvel Champions to date—period. She's capable of pulling off the same feats as Cable or Spider-Ham... without including as many staples in her deck.

In fact, Jessica is so powerful that she can get away with using only themed allies and consistently defeating the game’s most powerful villains on Expert mode in just a few turns. She is absolutely insane.

Side Schemes

Side schemes are obviously at the heart of Jessica's gameplay. The main question raised by her specific victory condition is: How many side schemes do I need to include in my deck to reach the final villain stage as quickly as possible—and one-shot him right away? This deck strikes a balance with six side schemes, in addition to Jessica's signature one.

Strategy Session is a key card in the deck for tutoring the schemes we're most interested in as early as possible—ideally on turn 1.

Friends and Family

The allies are, frankly, interchangeable, and serve primarily to tie the overall mechanics together. I chose to include themed allies who are close to Jessica narrative-wise, but they can easily be replaced with your favorite allies.

  • The Husband and the Overbearing Friend are the two exceptions. They allow us to comfortably survive even the villain's most violent attacks.
  • The Nanny shines when she enters play with Calling in Favors, with a hand full of cards and therefore 4 tokens.
  • The Teen Crush clearly fits with our side scheme mechanics and offers 3 to 4 versatile activations.
  • The Best Friend will often help us deal damage to the enemy more quickly to reach their final stage, and has a relatively reliable response with 18 other energy cards.
  • The Colleague is valued for his versatility, but will rarely be a priority.

The goal is to bring allies into play as often as possible via Calling in Favors. She-Hulk is our top priority to recycle from the discard pile with Chance Encounter.

Conclusion

I guess the rest of the cards are self-explanatory. Jessica is probably too powerful, but that doesn't take away from the fact that she's a lot of fun to play mechanically. And in the end, that's what matters most. Have fun!

Very nice deck! Yeah, she’s crazy strong. Just wanted to point out that the 4K Digital Camcorder discards minions, not defeats, which means it’s useful in scenarios like Kingpin but won’t help you advance the game. It’s still useful and powerful (as is every JJ card).

Jessica doesn't care if Kingpin is in stage 2 because she can defeat him in stage 1. In fact, she might prefer that.
