Rocket Raccoon — Big Guns, Bigger Friends

Build around Groots tanking, Spectrum’s flexibility, and Particle Cannon's efficient damage and card draw.

  • Call for Aid + Spectrum + Digging Deep: Prioritize finding Spectrum and paying with Digging Deep to make her 3 THW / 3 ATK / 5 HP. Call for Aid can also give you free Digging Deep resources and a free White Fox when you need help most. Hawkeye is the other Avenger target.

  • Hawkeye + Rocket’s weapons: Use arrows to leave minions within excess-damage range. Let Rocket finish them for extra cards, preferably with Particle Cannon to send the remaining damage into the villain.

  • Groot: Your main defender. Keeping him alive makes the board safer and enables Flora and Fauna. Save Ready for Action primarily for him: Tough lets a badly wounded Groot survive an attack and receive his full 2-point heal. Maria Hill provides backup blocking.

  • Keep Groot and Spectrum alive: Rally the Troops, First Aid, Reinforced Suit, and Innovation keep your two most valuable allies working. Team Training adds insurance and gives X-23 more room for consecutive attacks.

  • Command Team + Get Ready: Extra Spectrum activations handle threat or finish the villain. X-23 can chain minion kills and keep attacking. Use these readies to regain control or assemble a lethal turn.

  • Particle Cannon: Rocket’s main damage engine. Overkill avoids wasted damage while triggering his draw. Battery Pack supplies two additional shots—8 damage for 2 effective resources—and Flora and Fauna adds two counters while immediately readying the cannon.

  • Salvage: Pay for Spectrum with it to exploit its printed mental and wild icons. Its recycling effect usually puts #Battery Pack back on top of the deck to keep Particle Cannon loaded.

  • Professor X: Confuse creates room to flip down. An alter-ego hand of six plus Tinkering’s two cards gives Rocket the resources to rebuild. Time those turns carefully.

Make the Call priorities

  • Groot — If Groot isn’t on the board, always bring back Groot!
  • Professor X when you need a setup turn and an alter-ego window.
  • Maria Hill for immediate thwarting, a card, and temporary defense.
  • X-23 when minions offer opportunities to chain kills.
  • Hawkeye to prepare future minions for Rocket’s finishing shots.

Play Spectrum from hand to activate her resource-based bonuses; Make the Call does not trigger them.
