3 wins: 12 turn kinda clean, 6 turns ultra dirty, 4 turns kinda clean
Goals:
- Stay in Hero mode as much as possible
- Value stun highly
- Do your best to get max value out of Multiple Man
- Don't get overwhelmed by minions, especially Madame Hydra.
Notes:
- Don't over-value Safe House #29 since we won't be in Alter-Ego much at all. Really only rolling down if we played Covert Ops and there's no minion threat on the board.
- Try to save Dance of Death for minion removal or burst, otherwise just resource it.
- If you see Legions of Hydra and you can't remove it right away, you're on the clock to burst Crossbones since Madame Hydra might become immortal and we don't heal efficiently, especially when Crossbones' Machine Gun is out.
- Make it a priority to remove Crossbones Experimental Weapons.
- If Crossbones' Machine Gun is discarded or in play, Raid the Armory is equivalent to an Acceleration Token unless you've already shuffled the Encounter deck.
- Try to put Crossbones to stage 2 if he's already got the Machine Gun revealed in play, otherwise he just gets it back.
You Love To See It:
-
Iron Fist: Maybe the best card in this deck, especially if Crossbones is at stage 2 since he'll never be able to use his Machine Gun. Allows you to stay in Hero Mode for 2 turns for free.
-
Multiple Man: Similar reasons as above, allows you to effectively remove 1 threat from 1B stage efficiently and allows you to stay in Hero mode for free for 3 turns.
You Like To See It:
-
Target Acquired: I put in 3 because you always want to have 1 down with how many boost effects their are in the Anacronauts gang. Also gives you a ping and possible free minion kill which feels great. BW always wants resources so if you can't play it it's okay.
-
Electrostatic Armor: I only put in 2 because we're defending often but not every turn and it's dependent on what other preps we have out. Free damage that sets you up for a kill
You Hate To See It:
-
Avengers Mansion It got a lot of value in my 12 turn game but it often times was needed as a resource for preps/Iron Fist. The ideal situation would be if you somehow had a hand of like 2 Multiple Mans and a Double Resource.
-
Quincarrier: Same as the Mansion, it's only great if your hand is otherwise bad. Don't be afraid to resource it.
-
Luke Cage: Between my test games and real games I never dropped Luke on the field. Crossbones likely negates his toughness anyways. In hindsight I would have subbed him for maybe another Electrostatic or Preemptive Strike or Desperate Defense
