Introduction
The leader of the x-men packs a lot of cards that can be played from alter ego and the ability to play x-men allies from any aspect, making him the perfect hero to build an x-men ally focused deck. Danger Room Training is very strong and flexible, picking the right targets is essencial.
Strategy
Storm and Wolverine are your heavy hitters, by buffing them with Danger Room Training and keeping them health with Reinforced Suit, X-Mansion and Team Training they are built to last the whole match.
Some of it most useful cards works only on alter-ego, so plan around flipping between alter ego and hero every turn. Don't shy away from keeping on alter-ego whole turns, your allies can keep the threat down while you use your extra cards to build your board. X-Mansion should be used every turn to keep your key allies alive. Cerebro is a tutor, resource card. Keeping Marvel Girl alive increase it's consistency.
Teamwork works best with Wolverine, using him, and giving him an extra turn to heal.
Flex slots
Some cards are under performing and are more likely to be replaced in the future.
Underperforming
- Team Training besides storm and wolverine, your allies shouldn't last long, this card hardly ever means more than an extra activation on wolverine and storm.
- Clarity of Purpose great card, but may force you to hero on turns where you were not planning.
May be included in the future
- Band Together Once you have 3 allies, there shouldn't be too many high cost cards remaining on your deck.
- The Triskelion There is a lot of healing/health boosting cards, making your allies last. Further play testing may prove this cards necessary.
- Danger Room Useful on multiplayer games with multiples x-men. Although cyclops already hoard most good x-men allies.
- First Aid not very cost effective, but may prove necessary.
