The world is in danger! I need it! So the next deck in my least published is a Black Panther/Justice deck. Work with Shuri to find your super suit and beat down the villain.
So I'm not a big fan of One Way or Another because the card is just to good. But it is a vital key to this deck not because of the card draw, but by combining it with Chance Encounter to recur Shuri as much/fast a possible to get your Black Panther upgrades out as quickly as possible. Once you're all dress up you can then combine them to target Monica Chang/Surveillance Team combo. I was hesitant to include Clear the Area because there is already enough card draw in this deck but might as well go all in.
As far as allies go Jessica Jones works nicely with One Way or Another. Spider-Man is expensive but with Vibranium and the card draw from The Golden City and other mention should have enough resources to play him. Speed is another good ally for clearing side schemes as well.
Sonic Rifle is included to giver Shuri another target and to give some security to flip down for The Golden City. Plan B is here because sometimes I just had to many cards. Never hurts to have extra health so I threw in Endurance, though honestly I found myself not really needing the extra health so feel free to flex it.

Yeah the allies are expensive but honestly the economy is there and it's not like You're playing Spider-Man every time you get him. I didn't feel the need for Endurance because I never felt like my health got low. Nothing wrong with Under Surveillance but like I said I like to experiment and try to avoid staple cards as much as possible. Which was the reason I was reluctant to include Clear the Area. As far as Wiccan goes, just not a fan. To many times I've gotten 0 boost icons just for the villain to get 3 during their activation following. Overall I don't build my decks to be able to win every game. I enjoy experimenting and as long as a deck has greater than 70% win rate I'll set it free. At the very least I'm laying the bones for someone else to take and tweak to their liking. I do feel like this is one of my weaker decks but I'll chalk that up to lack of experience with justice. |
Aug 16, 2023This deck looks equally strong and fun. I thibk I'd throw in For Justice over Clear the Area just because I'd be sad using all those double resources on a 1-cost, regularly played event. Nice! |
Aug 17, 2023Love this! I feel like I've given Black Panther the least amount of love since all the expansions have come out and am excited to bust him out sometime soon and try this out. I also love the twist on using One Way or Another |
Aug 18, 2023I love One Way or Another, but I have come to the conclusion that x3 is a waste of deck space. Only 1, maybe 2 depending on the villain is all you need since there may not be side schemes to meet the need. |
Feb 16, 2024Just tried the deck. It's incredible when the villain has enough side schemes and you don't run out of targets for One Way or Another. For others (like Rhino) it's still great, but playing the card without a target in the villain deck was a bit surprising for me. I still had a blast as the deck can greatly control the schemes! |
When One Way or Another first came out, I was skeptical by it, but figured it be okay in a Problem Solvers sort of deck. But further since then, I think (at least it feels like) not worth it. I feel like there are more "entering/exiting" effects on side schemes these days. Maybe just a more acute sense checking for such. But is that +2 effective mana worth the side scheme? I tend to play larger MP games too (when we get to play Champions in our game cycle/s), so I guess more side schemes just auto come out in MP. I do get that you are trying to trigger Chance Encounter more reliably from it and from a Solo perspective. Just something to keep in mind vs certain opponents I guess (which side scheme options you'll get).
That's a decent chunk of sizable allies, even by my standards. Just wondering if you would be better served by swapping Jessica Jones with Wiccan and using Team-Building Exercise for all those avengers & Shuri matches with Wakanda too
Either that or going more SHIELD and getting Agent Coulson with a printed 2Thw and a Sky-Destroyer/Target Acquired.
I also love a good Under Surveillance in a Justice deck. It's like a 3CM for 4 thw (not terrible) by increasing 'max to pop', similar to Endurance both heals/moves away from unco and gives maxHP to play with. And deck-cleaning to boot. Another option for Shuri and works vs 'steady/stalwart' villains.
Another great tactic for T'Challa Justice is Great Responsibility to rack up some damage to transfer back. Also counts as anti-scheme. :)
