Many saw Angel’s inherent Aerial and got excited for easy Dive Bomb’s in red. I got excited for another hero that is aerial and likes to flip forms to abuse my favorite aggression combo: Surprise Attack and Pitchback.

I previously gushed about the 2 event cards being on pace with hero events in my Vision deck. Together they are 8 damage easily, plus a potential 4 with Jarnbjorn. Avian Anatomy can ensure a Pitchback bounce back to either use as the bonus 2, or you just play it again… Even better, Avian Anatomy in Angel form with Pitchback gives us a net ZERO er for 4 damage, or 6 for 1er with Jarn.

That also gives us the freedom to use Warren’s events in addition to the combo, rather than letting it all ride on Dive Bomb. One copy was included because it is great, particularly in Archangel form for the Honed Technique single target damage without the need of Honing anything. Just crash land and hope your bird bones don’t break.

Other combos include the plethora of for Drop Kick, Hulk, and Jarn, Superpower Training to fetch your wings, and Mockingbird to help turn the bird into the Birds of War! Yes we have feathers!

Good stuff! Was thinking there had to be a good use of Surprise Attack and Pitchback here, it's so efficient. The best is when you can play a cheap aerial event as Angel, then switch to Archangel to play an expensive one.

Tried a few games and the extra stuns/confuses round it out nicely.

ca-caw! i also love the singular copy of Dive Bomb. it's not always the best option. Pitchback seems to do a lot of work here

Was Honed Technique meant to be included here?

Unlike a bunch of red Angel decks, Honed Technique wouldn’t really benefit this one too much. Only 4 cards see big benefit from it (the Drop Kicks and the one Dive Bomb) and the former is debatable since you don’t get the draw and stun if you ht it. I’ve never missed ht with this deck since the biggest damage will come from Archangel’s silly damage he can do

Ngl I really don't like Angel's deckbuilding generally but this is probably my favorite decj so far. Loving the pitchback combo.
