This deck came up when I thought "Damn, Cyclops's Full Blast is pretty strong and fun. I wish I blast things outta my lawn more often." I also took a lot of inspiration from VillainTheory's Master Blaster. You can check it out here https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/30204/master-blaster-1.0.
Well, now I WILL be blasting things outta my lawn more often :D.
This deck is focused on setting up the field, building up an opportune moment to blast the villain out of existance, often in a single turn.
- We'll be needing some fuel before we start blasting. X-Gene, Ruby Quartz Visor, Deft Focus and The X-Jet will be our go-to cards right off the bat. Of course, we'll be needing to tutor us some blasting capabilities.
- Superpower Training is here to act as an easy way to grant us Ruby Quartz Visor so we can blast for free. This can be played early, but I would probably wait for Lost Visor to show up in the encounter deck before defeating it. Combining this with Professor X is very nice.
- Hope Summers serves the purpose of searching for Full Blast and Ricochet Beam when needed. Phoenix's ability is as useful as always to fetch them back from the discard pile as well.
- The 3 copies of Mutant Education (combined with X-Mansion, of course) will be granting us some liability to always have those sweet blasts and tactics at our disposal. Professor X and Psylocke are here to make sure our trip down to alter-ego is gonna be as smooth as it can be. Cyclops takes a lot of advantage flipping to AE due to his Constant Training and high thwarting capabilities, so we should be fine flipping whenever.
Now let's get to the fun part: Combos!
- Warrior Skill can be triggered when we Optic Blast (it's an Attack!), Ricochet Beam, or to pump Cyclops's attack up to a 2 if needed. Combining any of these with Exploit Weakness is pretty dope.
- Aggressive Energy is here mainly to boost Ricochet Beam, but I'll be probably trimming this out as soon as I find some better cards.
These two combined with Exploit Weakness can grant us:
- Optic Blast + Full Blast (11) + Warrior Skill (1) + Exploit Weakness (1) = 13 Damage. Combined with our Supports and Upgrades, there is a fabled world where we can play these for 1 resource or even for free.
- After Exploit Weakness is attached to the Villain, Optic Blast can be combined with Warrior Skill to deal 5 Damage. You can also pop Ricochet Beam + Aggressive Energy + Warrior Skill to deal 12 Damage.
