Silk seems to be a character from the more complex end when it comes to piloting – has quite a few key upgrades to play and pretty poor base stats, so the early game is often very tight. However, if you manage to survive, she quickly becomes practically immortal, with massive economy, and usually ends the game with a burst of 30+.

The mini-game of collecting bad cards is, imo, very fun and refreshing – at the start we're takings whatever we can for economy, mid-game I tried to have at least one weaker Villain card and one Standard for economy and protection against the nastiest effects, and by the end only Villain cards to maximize the burst.

A few words about the card choices: We're mostly boosting Silk's already good eco with even more eco ( Avengers Mansion,Helicarrier, Team-Building Exercise, Web of Life and Destiny, Ingenuity, Deft Focus, Nick Fury, Moon Girl, and The Power in All of Us) and adding more encounter control options with Thwip Thwip!, Madame Web, Professor X, Investigative Journalism, and Ready for a Fight. The Spider army is helping us with thwarting and surviving until we're fully built out, then they add even more power to our crazy endgame burst.

As for build priorities: Organic Webbing (!!!), Spider-Man (!!), Web of Life and Destiny (!), Albert Moon, Eidetic Memory (a very specific card – it's either sitting unused or literally wins you a game you'd otherwise lose), Spider Claws, Scarlet Spider (4ER for 4 Basic Peter activations, chump block, and a free card from Web of L&D, solid)

Tested on Expert Klaw, Mutagen, Zola, Thanos, and Wideawake on stock expert without any problems.

Maaaaaaan…jealous of everyone who doesn’t live in the USA and got the packs on time and had time for so much testing. Looks great!

You are not kidding that the early game is tight with her.

@boomguy I hope you get your packs soon — both heroines seem like a blast to play! So fun, in fact, that I ended up playing all 5 of my test games in one day :D Whether that's because the Silk kit is just that cool, or because the Web-Warriors are super strong, is up for debate… but being excited about Surge and Hazard icons is definitely a first for me!

@josseroo Yeah, it's definitely a challenge. A few tips for piloting:

Securing that first safe AE flip with at least 2 tucked cards or Albert in play is extremely important — it gives you a +5 card boost. ProfX helps against regular Villains, while Madame and Investigative Journalism are great for handling Steady/Stalwart.

Ready for a Fight is something I usually kept as an emergency backup (mainly against Advance), since using it wastes half the benefits of being in AE.

In big or multiple main scheme scenarios, I often just YOLO-flipped — one extra minion isn't that hard to deal with when you have 8+ cards in hand.

Life is a resource — Silk's 3 DEF is tempting, but defending is very low tempo; dealing with minions and side schemes is way higher on the priority list than keeping your health total high.

Hope that helps a bit!
