This deck is designed to be played in multiplayer alongside somebody playing a dangerpool deck with crisis icons
Do you have that special someone in your life that likes running with Laser Swords and seems to always Live Dangerously?

Embrace the fact that they are trying to help the table draw 8 extra cards per turn and let Kitty handle main scheme threat despite the crisis icon(s).
If Utopia is at the table, make sure during the villain phased to table talk through plans of the players in front of you in turn order to see who may be planning to play an X-Men ally. You may need to be in phased form to work your thwarting magic and so be reluctant to block, but you may still be able to block knowing there's a reliable ready on the table, allowing you to attack and get back to phased form after having blocked.
Keep in mind that Overwatch needs to go on the main scheme, since the threat removal triggered by Overwatch won't have the benefit of dancing around the crisis icon.
Other cards to consider:
- As enticing as Lay Down the Law is in a form-flipper like Kitty, you don't have a ton of ways to get yourself back to phased form in this deck
- If you are playing with somebody (or a scenario) that insists on an early-game crisis icon, consider adding a couple of copies of Impede or For Justice! to help manage that main scheme threat in the early game while you are getting your allies and Gunboat Diplomacy set up.
- If they're playing with Live Dangerously and Laser Swords, you may need to be the one that bring the Specialized Training
- Ask nicely to other X-Men players for you can keep the The X-Jet since it helps you power Even the Odds and when in solid form, Crisis Averted.
- For two player games, swap Even the Odds for Counterintelligence, Under Surveillance and one copy of Impede or For Justice!
