I am someone who can admit when they're wrong (even if it almost never happens, kidding ha). I was not looking forward to playing Silk, the aspect cards looked great sure but as far as the character was concerned I wasn't intrigued.

After playing her I can say that my initial opinion of her was wrong. She has a TON of versatility in her kit and is well suited to handle what scenarios throw at her. I went Aggression here because most people shy away from it. Silk actually makes use of minion slaying and so that's what this deck is centered around.

Setup:

The most important card for setup is Organic Webbing which boosts her thwart by 1 and allows you to dump a tucked card to ready.

Albert Moon is another key piece as we are going to accumulate tucked cards. Take a hit, flip down to heal from Albert. Then on the next turn dump a tucked card to draw 2 and use Albert to add another tucked or heal again.

J. Jonah Jameson is crucial to help thwart side schemes and can help loop Get the Scoop.

Ingenuity has to be played in AE but generates a resource.

Blood Rage works really well for Silk as she has access to readies in kit defeating minions is a key to our strategy.

Web of Life and Destiny is key for card draw as each time a WW leaves play you get to draw a card.

Spider Claws is great as it gives +1 attack for each tucked card that is the same as the character you're attacking. This can get you up to 4 extra damage if you have 4 of the same tucked. It also grants piercing.

Hand Cannon just adds +2 to your basic attack and generates some overkill.

Combat Training bumps Silks attack up by 1.

Team-Building Exercise cuts the cost of your WW allies and can be used once you get Aeiral from Organic Webbing to cut the cost of swinging Silk kick.

Build Support and Superpower Training help accelerate setup.

With this all out Silk would be at 2/3/3 base with the potential to go up to 9 attack, ready once per turn and draw a card for defeating an enemy.

Gameplay:

Silk gets to tuck cards underneath her identity that can be then used as currency for her kit. She will tuck each minion she defeats, each side scheme and each treachery resolved up to a max of 4.

Storing cards of the same encounter/mod set boost her attack, thwart, defense based on upgrades she has out.

WW allies leaving play is also going to generate us card draw and it's going to happen a lot.

We're going to focus on minion slaying in our kit and then also trying to store some scenario specific cards to boost our attack against the villain.

To summon minions we have Face the Past, Looking for Trouble and Angela.

Looking for Trouble can potentially net you:

3 threat removal

Tucking the minion after defeating it allows you to discard it for Organic Webbing to provide a ready

1 card draw from Blood Rage if you used a basic attack

Potential overkill if you're hitting with hand cannon

Face the past nets you:

3 card draw and a ready

Defeat Morlun and tuck him which can give a card draw from Blood Rage

Potential overkill damage from Hand Cannon

Discard him to ready from Organic Webbing.

You can also forego basic attacking any of those minions and instead use Swinging Silk Kick to finish them off and use your basic activations for the villain or to thwart.

Ally Combos:

Another fun combo in this deck is to attack activating Hand Cannon defeating a minion and draw from Blood Rage.

Then play Spider-Man from hand to ready Hand Cannon again which draws a card since its tech.

Dump a tucked card to ready and you can attack again with Hand Cannon for extra damage on the villain. With some tucked scenario specific cards and Spider Claws the damage can be upped even more!

Want to generate more damage for Spider Claws? Play Madame Web to get a look at the encounter deck then use Smooth as Silk to ensure you're not discarding a ton of cards.

Spider-Man gives another ready to Silk when he activates and can set up some really strong turns for you.

Ghost-Spider can grab you Wallcrawl when you need to thwart, swinging Silk Kick to finish off a villain or strong minion, or grab smooth as Silk to get some more tucked cards especially when you're going to flip down to heal from Albert.

Thor and Throg are here mainly to block a hit with their toughs. The can also chip minions down to set up more overkill damage for Silk.

Timing your flips is key, having 4 tucked cards allows you to flip down and heal for 4 from Albert. Then the next turn dump one to draw 2 and either use Albert to heal again or put another tucked card. You can potentially heal for 8 without using Silks Recovery!

With all the card draw and readies the damage can really stack up quickly.

Overall this deck has been a ton of fun and really strong. I'd love to hear any feedback or experiences with it!

I appreciate your thoughts on Silk. Agreed that she is a really flexible character, but a bit of a bear to get setup.

@josseroo thanks for checking it out! I agree that she can be, the PSS really come in handy as does her AE for the extra card draw

@VJakson thanks I appreciate it! I had a lot of fun with it, handles really well in solo which can be a struggle for Aggression. Let me know how it goes if you get a chance to play it!
