Matt "A Really Good Lawyer" Murdock uses his legal prowess (and some heroic assistance) to bring justice to the Kingpin and other villains in this alter-ego only deck.
Matt's Senses and Trial Kit
-
Living Lie Detector is the big main scheme thwart. With all possible main scheme attachments (Acute Tactility, Enhanced Olfaction, Superior Taste, Under Surveillance, and Overwatch*), Matt can thwart up to 7 off the main scheme.
-
With Karen Page's help, Matt can shuffle his thwarting cards Living Lie Detector or Deposition back into his deck. His other cards are also worth shuffling back in even if it's only to get the card draw.
-
Of course, Enhanced Olfaction and Superior Taste can be beneficial when you need to thwart side schemes so they don't always have to be stuck onto the main scheme and can be used on side schemes.
-
Foggy Nelson is a reliable 2 threat removal almost every turn.
-
Disguise gives Matt a 2 threat removal activation most turns as long as he doesn't get exhausted some other way.
-
Deposition can help clear the last bit of threat on a scheme and give a bonus with the Sense attachment used.
-
When
The Avocados at LawMatt or Foggy defeat a side scheme, Nelson and Murdock can confuse an enemy. -
Heightened Hearing and Radar Sense will typically go on the villain to clear them out of the Sense deck and also to allow Blindspot to confuse the villain with his thwarts.
-
Focus the Senses is good to clear once early to cheaply play the Senses you won't really be moving around. Not as big of a priority later on when most/all Senses are in play.
-
Stealth Training can provide stuns in multiplayer or get rid of vulnerable minions. If none of this is helpful for the scenario played, this card can be cut.
-
Legal Trouble will stall most of your minions until they can be dealt with and Contingency Planning can store 1 for the right time.
-
With consistent confuses from Blindspot and Nelson and Murdock, Float Like a Butterfly can add a lot of damage to your allies' attacks. Bring more copies when playing multiplayer so your teammates can reap the benefits too.
The Allies
-
Husk is your main ally to use up any extra cards you can't play or when her activation(s) would be more useful than what you could play and Mission Training and Sidearm make her stronger. Remember that The Power of Justice can be spent to use 2 of her interrupt abilities.
-
Blindspot is your villain confuser. Have a Sense upgrade on the villain so they are confused when Blindspot thwarts. Keep him healthy with First Aid(s).
-
Chamber is a lower priority ally to get into play as you want the reliable confuses from Blindspot first so Chamber can attack without taking consequential damage.
-
Manifold is for early setup. Getting a Build Support to get Foggy Nelson or Karen Page out faster is super helpful.
-
Elektra is just happy to be included (she typically won't be played except early when there's no better options).
Testimonials
Matt Murdock has successfully brought down the following villains with his legal skills:
-
Solo: Standard Kingpin (expert may be possible, but very luck-based especially if you don't break theme to hop into hero form to to clear his SCH attachments)
-
2-handed: Attorneys (w/ Jennifer "Split Personality" Walters) vs Expert Mojo Mania campaign to shut down Mojo's illegal broadcasts
Other Alter-Ego Only Decks
-
Aggression Scott Summers: Scott's Summer Training Camp
-
Justice Cindy Moon: Undercover in the Moonlight
*The Hero Interrupt on Overwatch can't be used in alter-ego. It is only here to boost Living Lie Detector.
