Luke Cage has turned being a superhero Mayor into a lucrative gig and still keeps his city safe.

Just how does he do it!?

Amassing a Fortune:

This deck is centered on drawing cards as often as possible to continually pay for expensive allies and supports. He can't keep the city safe all by himself!

The focal point of the deck is Change of Fortune which lets us draw 2 cards for defeating an enemy in the villain phase. The main way we achieve this is with retaliate damage from Metal Bracer as we have 2 in kit.

To supplement we also have Electrostatic Armor that deals another damage when we defend.

We also have Cuts Both Ways to further our Retaliate damage.

You may be asking why we would defend when we have tough statuses but that leads to the next part of the minion defending strategy Unflappable which lets us draw for defending and taking no damage. Use the bracers te reduce the damage if needed for a perfect defense.

A typical villain phase can look like this:

-Villain attacks knocking off a tough letting us draw from Power Man

-Defend a minion attack defeating it with retaliate damage triggering both Unflappable and CoF.

-That's a 4 card draw in the villain phase without spending anything potentially and only taking 1 damage!

Generational Wealth:

Now you start you're turn with potentially 9 cards and we can get more!

Taunt let's the villain attack us so we can draw 3 cards. This further cycles the deck and helps us find the events/allies we want.

Avengers Mansion becomes extremely affordable when you're loaded and furthers our card draw.

S.H.I.E.L.D. donated a Helicarrier to Mayor Cage for his continued assistance in villain matters.

Its entirely possible to have 10 cards after drawing from the mansion then play taunt which will jumps us to 11.

Ready to Brawl:

Since we are going to defend against minion attacks and will be exhausted during our turn we have several ways to ready.

The first is from What Doesn't Kill Me which heals us for 2 and readies us.

Harlem's Hero is an in kit ready and can ready allies depending on the number of toughs we have.

There are 2 really fun interaction in this deck that rely on Fogwell's Gym which allows a defender to ready after a tough is discarded from them.

The first is from Taunt itself, we can be exhausted but play taunt letting the villain knock a tough off to ready us.

The second is from Rogue as we can be exhausted and have her knock a tough off to ready us. This also turns her into a 4/4 ally.

The rest of our allies are She-Hulk who brings a tough for herself and us while also having a 2/2 Stateline.

The new Hulk ally ramps up extremely quickly in this deck as we are going to be taking hits all the time. We can bring out extra minions with "Come Get Me, Bub!" for him to Overkill with Cruisin' for a Bruisin'.

Brother Voodoo helps us find events giving us more access to drawing out minions.

Use Med Team to Hulk, Rogue or Jessica Jones on board longer.

When we run out of toughs we have Ready for a Fight to to let us flip back and avoid the villain scheme.

Toughen Up lets us get an extra tough when recover if we get back to our starting hit points. Combine this with Burstein Process to have 3 toughs before flipping back from RfaF.

Overall thus deck has been an absolute blast and it was nice to go back to allies after so many Ronin decks.
