Is that Paul Bettany?

This deck focuses on looking like Paul Bettany and going in Disguise for most of the game. There are 3 copies in the deck so we can find one soon. Then we play most of the game as Paul laying down our framework. We stay in intangible mode for the larger hand size. Then when it is time, we go full on Vision. switch to dense mode and have a massive attacking round with 3-4 attack events and multiple activations.

Let's go.

Top priorities:

  1. Get Disguise in play so we can thwart in alter-ego mode.
  2. Get both copies of Density Control in play.
  3. Get as many resource generators in play as possible.

Next priorities

  1. Under Surveillance to give us some breathing room on the main scheme.
  2. Get allies in play to help with minions and side schemes.

Some interesting combos and play suggestions:

  • Machine Man is a nice ally to keep out. It is nice as a resource dump when available or when needed so you don't have any lost moments with resources. He can attack/twhart between from 1 to 4. And he can be grabbed by 616 Hickory Branch Lane when needed to be played again.

  • Vivian is nice as an ally who can thwart for 3 (as most of the time we will be in intangible form). She is low cost and easy to recycle frequently with 616 Hickory Branch Lane. We can also use 616 Hickory Branch Lane to pull her every round and use here as an extra resource, when needed. Especially if we have the 3 ally slots used up with the other allies. It's like having a hand size of 7.

  • Hope Summers is expensive but works well with this deck. She can pull a superpower when she is played so it can help find either copy of Density Control. If both those are in play, she can pull one of Vision's superpower attack events. Then we can use it as a resource and get it in the discard pile. She gains Vision's trait so she will have the android trait so Reboot will work on her.

  • Quake is here to do some damage to minions who scheme.

  • Contingency Planning is here to hold onto Legal Trouble so we will have it available when a minion shows up.

  • Minions - Legal Trouble, Sting Operation, Beat Cop and Quake are here to mitigate minions. Allies can help take them out, when needed.

Notes on some of the cards

  • Quincarrier does require the avengers trait to play so you do have to power up and be in hero form to play it.

  • Deft Focus is a hero action so it can only be used in hero form. If you are in alter-ego, you cannot use it to play Density Control

Now for the big attack moment.

Wait for the right time to power up. You want 2 superpower attack events in the discard pile. Then wait until you pull another superpower attack event in your hand. Maybe even 2 in your hand. Your hand size is 5, intangible form brings it to 6, Avengers Mansion lets you draw a 7th card and 616 Hickory Branch Lane lets you pull in Vivian into your hand. That is 8 cards. Power up and change to dense form and draw your 9th card. Trigger your response on both Density Control cards and pull those two superpower attack events to your hand. That brings your hand size to 11. Then play 3-4 attack events using resources in your hand and on the table. A couple of those attacks have piercing. Minimum of 17 damage. More likely to be between 20-26 damage. Then Vision can activate for 2 damage, Quake can activate for 2 damage. Machine man can active for 1-4 damage. This should take most villains out in solo mode.
