Deck Concept
-
Use as many events as possible to trigger Precision and Finesse every round. If possible, kick off each round by doing both (Hit and Run and Crosscounter accomplish that)
-
Make events cost nothing. With Helicarrier and two copies of Keen Instincts, you can start off each round with a free play. You also have 17 attack events that Martial Prowess will make even more useful.
-
Set up your damage. Godslayer is for the villain, your nemesis, and the rare named minion (Madame Hydra). Hand Cannon, Combat Training, Gamora's Sword and Follow Through all aid in giving your attacks more damage, your events more punch, and overkill.
-
Don't forget to heal and thwart. Momentum Shift when all set up, will give your 2 HP back while doing 4 damage to an enemy. Moment of Triumph should trigger off of Relentless Assault, Hand Cannon, and Follow Through.
Hidden MVP
- Hit and Run is amazing. At first glance, it doesn't seem to be. It's a 3 cost card that does 2 thwart and 2 damage. Not so great, right? But look at the text. It's a attack/thwart event. That makes it trigger both Finesse and Precision. So, now it's 3 thwart and 3 damage. With Gamora's Sword it's now 4 damage and 3 thwart. But wait, there's more. If played at the beginning of the round, it also sets up the prerequisite for Decisive Blow and Forward Momentum. So, that's an extra 4 damage or 2 thwart. When you use Nebula to bring out an event, this is the one. Huge versatility!
The 50 elephants in the room
Yes, there are 50 cards. For shame, I know! But Gamora was built for this. She wants all the events you can give her. Plus, the overwhelming reason for 40 card decks is because your hero cards are your best cards, and you want to get to them as soon as possible.
But in this deck, the non-hero events of Hit and Run, and others are just as good as the Hero cards. Especially when you realize that Keen Instincts, Martial Prowess, and Helicarrier will make it so that you always have the right resources to trigger Drop Kick, Concussive Blow, Multitasking and Relentless Assault. All those extra effects will happen.
Conclusion
Gamora may be the most versatile hero released in Marvel Champions, and this deck emphasizes that. You'll thwart when you want to, damage like a God, and heal some. If you ever need flip to alter-ego, you've got Hall of Heroes and Conditioning Room waiting to give you a 10 card hand. Let me know what you think!

I'd thin my allies and make room for Into the Fray and Toe to Toe. |
Jun 04, 2021I was a bit skeptical of the +10 cards but it didn't feel bad. Just kept ramming stuff since it all synergized well. Struggled a bit for Collector No2. But i think its because it's a mission that requires a Higher amount of Burst thwart. I also missed on some allies early on. |

Yeah, you really have to time things well with Escape the Museum, but a nice Hit and Run, and Forward Momentum can get you safely to the next scheme. :) |
I like your view on a high card total, but wonder if that's counterproductive for a GMW campaign specifically? There, with the cards you buy form market, if you've got good ones you really want to get to them more often, I would think.
