Well, this is the most fun I've had solo-ing the Hulk in a long, long time.

Yes, it's still playing Hulk with his shortcomings and all. However the deck managed to get reasonnable win rates (for example, 4 wins one loss against Expert Klaw, my practice dummy) and I was actually ENJOYING the games so... good enough for me.

Basically, you use the Dig deep combo, coupled with lots of draw allies to make up for Hulk's lack of THW and get better hand size, which leads you to draw Limitless Strength to play big cards, including of course Hulk Smash.

Here are the basics if you'd like to try your luck too!

Dig deep deck

Of course, by now most everyone is aware of Digging Deep decks and this one is no different.

Your most amazing move, if you need a reminder, is to play Call for Aid in an attempt to get White Tiger out of your deck. in doing so, you hope to put White Fox in play for free and get all 3 Digging Deeps to your hand.

While it won't always be a complete success depending on how the cards are shuffled in your deck, having just White Tiger to play, draw cards, THW 2 and block is perfectly fine.

When White Tiger is in the discard, well, Call for Aid makes a nice to combo with Hulk's own cards (Hulk Smash, Sub-Orbital Leap, Crushing Blow, Unstoppable Force).

...and the rest

The rest of the deck revolves around card draw to dig for the good stuff and useful allies that help you draw / confuse / stun, then thwart and block. That makes up for Hulk's 0 THW and keeps you healthy and ready to Hulk Smash.

So you just got yourself White Tiger using Call for Aid? You play Tiger, draw cards, use Make the Call to bring back a relevant ally that Call for aid just dumped in the discard. Don't have Make the Call? Maybe just whistle for Lockjaw then.

Whenever you can do it safely, drop your supports and upgrades. Ingenuity, Quincarrier and Banner's Laboratory can make sure that when you revert to AE, you can play Moon Girl to the fullest. Of course having resource producers plus Avengers Mansion is nuts as the Hulk with a good hand size is incredible.

The Triskelion? Yes. Believe it or not, I've sometimes gone from having 0 allies in play to 4 in a single round. That's how good it can get.

Incredible openings

Your dream starting hand is to have Call for Aid and no Digging Deep, no White Fox, no White Tiger in your hand.

A few times I've managed to get the perfect setup and ended up with White Fox in play, 3 Digging Deep and White Tiger in my hand, plus a Make the Call. Then played White Tiger. Hulk has 6 cards. Played Make the Call and got Nick Fury out of the discard, drew 3 more. Hulk Smash using Limitless Strength, put The Triskelion in play. All on turn 1.

One last thing

Know when to take a hit, know when to sacrifice an ally. Of course Hulk has 18 hp, but you're not invincible and being forced to back down to AE may be your doom.

So... don't automatically sacrifice allies. If that 2nd hp for White Tiger or Maria Hill would be better used for thwarting again, you're full health, sure, take the hit. If there's just 1 threath on the scheme, you've got ways to put more allies in play (say, Make the Call), then yes, have allies block. The more you can stay in hero form, the less you have to worry about threath.

Hope you find it as fun as me!

Man, I know people dish on Hulk, but I think he’s just such a different play style from other heroes. This deck looks super cool and leans into the power of newer cards. Thanks for creating it!

No Plan B to dump dead cards before Hulks sends them to hell at the end of the round?

@andyr: thanks a lot!

@Alpo: indeed no Plan B. Sorry! I skipped on a lot of cards that I usually like for Hulk to keep it a 40 cards deck (Limitless Stamina, for instance).

this combo is great! love it so much. i feel like it should be an achievement unlocked if you get the perfect 3 Digging Deep, White Fox for free, and hit White Tiger all on the first turn. it's a thing of beauty

@dr00 Indeed incredible to pull it off! I must have played 30 games with this deck so far, getting all of it upon playing Call for Aid happened more than I thought it would. More frequent, though, is getting White Tiger with one ore two Digging Deep, which is already pretty good.

What I'm most surprised about, however, is that the deck wins so consistently. I'm 6 wins for 8 games against Klaw, and won against Rhino, Ultron, Mutagen, The Hood, the entire RORS campaign without any problem.

It really made me enjoy Hulk, an achievement in itself!
