What if...? Ep3.9 Nick Fury was Quicksilver?

What if...Nick Fury was empowered with superspeed like Quicksilver? This deck is made to use the Nick Fury signature ally to simulate this concept.

This deck is centered around Nick's amazing ability to put counters on S.H.I.E.L.D supports every time he activates, and maximizes that perk by turning him sideways 4-6 times a turn while Maria keeps him alive as well as the table with Med Team.

Getting out all three Command Teams will allow Nick's to activate four times a turn, and be able to constantly replenish the counters on them infinitely.

Once you get out all three Med Teams, those can also be infinitely charged as well and keep Nick at full health.

With Sidekick, Inspired and Sidearm equipped, Nick will be able to Thwart for 12 or Attack for 16 at minimum every turn. With 9 other readies, Agent 13 and playing Side-by-Side after his first activation, he can easily manage 19-27THW or 24-33 DMG

HOW TO PILOT First off, don't discard any Command Team or Med Team cards, because these are critical to the deck. At most discard 1 Med Team.

Mulligan - Try for Nick FURY, but don't get rid of any resource cards or Command Teams Turn 1 - Use Maria to pull out Helicarrier and play it.

  • Stay in AE for an extra turn Turn 2 - If you don't have Nick in-hand yet, play any Command Teams you have as well as tutor one with Maria.
  • If you do have Nick, feel free to tutor the Iliad for a resource to play Nick. I know it's painful, but you really won't need it.
  • After that, bulk up Nick with Sudekick as the first priority and his two upgrades, then keep getting out the remaining Command Teams.

When you do go into Hero form, take any damage to the face and flip down to AE so you can do a recovery to heal Nick.

When playing Reinforcements it is most efficient to put 3 counters on Command Team instead of 2 on Med Team, because Nick can then move those 3 counters onto Med Team every time you use Command Team.

Agent 13 is there to ready another Command Team or Med Team to get more healing and activations.

With all three Command Teams on the table, using Agent 13, playing Side-by-side and one more Get Ready/Inspiring Presence, Nick will activate 6 times on one turn! How's that for Nicksilver!

Seems like a lot of fun! Did you consider Field Agent for cheap "healing" (prevent damage) from the Nick-tivations

@Footballcoach ai did consider Field Agent, but it's only a 1 hp to 1 counter conversion, so putting a counter on Med Team is still more efficient. Plus, the deck is already over 40 cards.

@Toedogg I see that Med Team is more efficient, but hear me out: med team is 4 effective resources for 6 healing. Field agent is 2 effective resources for 3 "healing". It would be equal, except that Reinforcements can target Field Agent more efficiently (as in, you get more counters) and those counters can be moved TO Med team to multiply their value.

As for deck bloat, how is Maria Hill playing Inspiring Presence?

@Footballcoach that is a good point about the efficency. I may try that.

As for Inspiring Presence, you are right, Maria can't play that card.

Thanks for the extra set of eyes. I'll repost this deck
