At the time of writing, I have a multi-table event this Sunday - the second scenario is a custom campaign I wrote, as it goes. My son is taking Leadership, so I am covering the remaining aspects. Having never played Valkyrie, I thought I would give her a go.

I understand she a little device in this here hobby of ours, but I am struggling to see why. If you’re on the fence, maybe this deck will change your mind.

As a 2-2-2, she looks pretty versatile, so here goes…

Upgrades

With Aragorn, Endurance, Dragonfang and Combat Training, we’ve got her up to 4/5 ATK and 19HP.

Blimey, that’s pretty handy.

As she’ll be Aerial, we can throw Soaring Acrobatics so one attack will be 5/6 and Fluid Motion adds an extra ATK for an Attack event.

No problems so far, this is looking tasty.

Supports

All-round helpfulness here; Crew Quarters for extra recovery, Hall of Heroes for card draw, Quincarrier for resources and War Room for a tiny bit of threat removal.

Mean Swing means your swinging for 7/8 minimum and even 8/9 if you use Soaring Acrobatics, Surprise Move hits for 6/7 minimum and offers a ready and Pitchback is a lovely cherry on top so you can share the hard-hitting love to whatever is on the table.

And that’s it.

My word, she hits hard. I can see why many think she is epic.
