"This multiplayer deck builds around Diamondback to keep the board clear of minions and, with a little luck, pressures the villain with damage ~D.M. Tip

Protection Voltron!? NOT Just Rogue!?

One of my favorite types of cards in this game are those that can have huge impacts for the entire table in multiplayer. Nothing does that more than a card like Diamondback that can damage the entire table with each activation. Usually, you see this style of deck in Leadership, but I wanted to try something a little bit different that offers increased flexibility.

In a normal Domino deck, Diamondback usually only gets two activations with a handful of damage. Let's fix that.

Ain't No Diamondback Girl

Rogue isn't the main focus, but in longer games, she can also benefit from the same upgrades applied to Diamondback. She gains the Posse trait when touching Domino or another non-Diamondback ally (we don't want to damage our star), and can then heal/ready through The Posse.

I'm usually aiming to use Diamondback, but both Outlaw and Rogue can be decent focus points as well.

Lucky Interactions

The rest of the deck features several notable interactions that you can do throughout the game.

  • X-Mansion can heal a Recruited Diamondback while in Alter-Ego, allowing her to immediately activate again because her ability is an Action and not a Hero Action.
  • Mutant Education cycles back in resources and hero cards you want to see again, including Jackpot!
  • Sharpshooter + Domino's Pistols is a big staple for any aspect, and it's even more important in Protection where our direct damage is limited.
  • Probability Field + Basic Defense to stay alive for the long haul. If you don't defend or otherwise end up ready on your turn, you can use your basic activation to attack.
  • Use Rogue to more easily finish off Atlas Bear, Outlaw, and White Fox before a deck cycle to see them again sooner.

With a little luck, you can consistently damage an entire army of enemies and shoot your way to victory. If you don't draw into Diamondback early on, just get your upgrades and supports into play to set the stage for her or pivot to another suitable ally. This deck won't be as consistent as Leadership in finding the exact ally you want, but can still be a lot of fun and refreshing from the normal Sidekick strategies in other decks. Have a blessed day!

Peace!

Just….wow. The thought and planning around this humbles me as an amateur deck designer. Well done.
