"I am Groot." — Groot
This is a deck that wants to flip consistently. Not necessarily every turn, but if you can afford to, then you should. In multiplayer, flipping should be easy; in true solo or some 2p games, it might take more planning. There are several good options here to support the team, or play the game in solo.
Groot is a hero that people traditionally struggle with, but this deck aims to cover his biggest weaknesses: economy and growth counters. The 'Pool aspect allows three triple resource cards that can really smooth the cost curve of his kit, and being able to fish for the cards you need/want with Mulligan is invaluable. Other support, in the form of increased basic activations and ally support, means flipping is easier so you can restock growth counters.

Use the Pool triple resources to boost your economy--they should always be available thanks to Groot's Flora Colossus ability!
The biggest thing for Groot, and I cannot stress this enough, is to not be afraid to use your growth counters to power your upgrades. You don't need to save them for your big events. Vine Shield costs 1 counter and likely saves you more than that by defending for 6.
Use the growth counters, flip regularly, and you'll have a lot more fun.
You want to play your Groot events often, as they are really strong:
- C.I.T.T. is a great resource sink so you can Mulligan for a new hand of cards to see those signature events faster.
- Gamora will help you dig for events when she activates.
- Avengers Mansion and Nick Fury draw you more cards so you can cycle things quickly.
- Hope Summers can grab a Superpower card and put it into your hand. Yes, she's expensive, but you have 0-cost Superpower cards like Fruition you can always play for free.
With the ability to ready (Lashing Vines, Stick-To-Itiveness, C.I.T.T.), being able to boost your basic stats (Laser Swords, Entangling Vines, Vine Spikes) is really strong. Enhanced Physique can smooth your economy and help provide a consistent ready for Stick-To-Itiveness. Laser Swords could be cut for certain matchups if you don't think there will be a lot of icons in play...but there is often at least one icon in play in multiplayer at a given time and with multiple readies the benefits do add up over time.
You have several great targets for Get Rage-y when you draw it: Drax, Gamora, and Rocket Raccoon are ideal. First Aid can help keep them around longer--Gamora and Rocket should be priorities to heal and keep in play.

”We get it, you're Groot." - Literally everyone
Notes for solo play:
- Entangling Vines is likely your priority, since having a consistent way to thwart for 3 will keep your game alive. "I am Groot" is going to often be too much thwart, unless you are really having trouble.
- Professor X is a true solo staple for a reason; he is here to add some thwart, a confuse, a block, and potentially thwart twice with Get Rage-y.
- First Aid keeps Rocket alive and (likely) thwarting for 2 consistently unless you have minion issues. He is great at killing minions.
- Drax can probably be swapped out for another 2 THW ally.
- Laser Swords is likely to not provide a lot of value unless the scenario you are facing has a lot of icons, so it can be cut with almost no loss to tempo.
