Mar 13, 2021Hi I think what this deck is all about is ally recursion with strong enter play effects. Allies enter play, get some initial value and usualy block on the next turn. Rapid Response is really incredible. Same goes for Seven Rings of Raggadorr. I could easily see a "Draw more" variant with Strength In Numbers or a "Worn out allies" with Team Training. I'll give those variants a try, thanks. On the 41th card topic, I feel that the weaker card of the deck at this point might be the third copy of Rapid Response, the third copy of Get Ready or Spider-Man. |
Mar 13, 2021Got it! In this case, Spiderman should be cut. Read his text closely: "Afer you play Spider-Man from your hand"... It means you don't get a bonus form recurring him with Rapid Response or Make the Call. Plus if you keep blocking with allies the turn they come in, the 3rd Rapid Response may not be thrown away. Looking at your Black widow next! ;) |
Mar 14, 2021Yeah, the idea behind Spider-Man was to use it in combinaison with Get Ready to benefit from the stat boost, but you are probably right, thanks again |
Hello!
Been there too! Allow me to ask: what is your deck trying to achieve?
If the answer is "trying to draw more cards to fuel my invocation deck", you need Strength In Numbers and 6 allies on board, so The Triskelion, Avengers Tower and only Avengers as allies. Maybe consider Earth's Mightiest Heroes to ready Strange. Then, you'll play a lot of Winds of Watoomb, draw your deck and smash face.
If the answer is "put lots of allies in play, have them do the work", then maybe you want to check for upgrades (Inspired, Reinforced Suit) and heals (Inspiring Presence, First Aid) or ready options (Get Ready, Sky Cycle).
Etc.
So, depending on your objective, the 41th card to cut may vary a lot. From what I can see, if you like your deck the way it is but REALLY want to ge to 40 cards, I'd cut one Rapid Response, as you can only have 1 in play at a time, so having three copies often ends up getting you a dead card.
I hope this was helpful!
Have fun!
