This is the first deck in my card-by-card series where I pick an aspect card and try to build a deck that utilizes it in a fun and powerful way. I started this because I found myself using the same few aspect cards over and over again, and wanted to give some love to some of the ones that are less-used by me.

Todays card is Target Practice!

This card has a lot of great things going for it:

Firstoff, 1ER for 2 damage is on curve once you have an ally down that can use it. Second, this card is an on-demand 2 damage, as it can be played down on the table and used when it is needed.

So to use this card well, we need an ally with a weapon upgrade who will preferably stick around for most of the game. Because of Laser Blaster, a Guardian hero made the most sense to me. I also thought it would be fun to voltron a Guardian signature ally for this deck, which made me look for a Guardian hero with a signature ally that had at least 2 attack. I settled on Nebula because of her signature ally Gamora, who has both solid attack and thwart stats. With that, lets break down the deck.

First, I added a few additional allies that are good voltron targets, including Rocket Raccoon and Yondu. Both of these have the Guardian trait and can have Laser Blaster attached to them. Major Victory, Professor X, and Martinex serve as good chump blockers, with an extra confuse and some thwarting from Professor X when needed. Since Nebula has some good confuses with Evasive Maneuvering and likes to be in alter-ego to trigger her Cybernetic Upgrades ability, Suit Up works great to find both an ally and an upgrade than can be attached to that ally. The best targets for this are Gamora to enable Side-by-Side or Professor X for some thwarting and a confuse.

I included 2 each of Laser Blaster, Reinforced Suit, and Sidearm to give the allies weapon upgrades and some extra activations with Reinforced Suit. Sidekick is also great for Gamora to keep her around for the duration of the game.

Build Support can help to pull Nebula's Ship or Helicarrier into play. Knowhere is also in the deck because of all of the Guardian allies that will be cycling in and out of play.

Finally, Target Practice is great for a final push, allowing huge hits to round out the game. Alternatively, you can time it to where you use your Target Practices before each reshuffle to get more uses out of each.

So far, this deck has taken down Expert Rhino, Ebony Maw, and Unus. Enjoy!

DId you try to make all your allies Guardians so that you can use Guardians of the Galaxy so that you can get a free card every-time you add an upgrade, which this deck seems to be focused on. I know you have Professor X, but if you get rid of him and change to Guardians of the Galaxy, this may help. Cool concept!
