Couldn't decide which version I liked more, so... I published both! :)

This is the safer, 2-or-more-player version of my "1HP Cap" concept.
==> THE DECK YOU'RE LOOKING AT is designed to be played alongside this Leadership Winter Soldier deck!

Looking for the stand-alone version? Check out the original Leadership Captain America version!

Don't forget to drop a like/fav for both versions, it's always appreciated :)

"I only need 1HP to kick your ass....with my friend!"

— Captain America, hurt, but now with a Winter Soldier watching his back.

Overview:

  • Play Style: Righteous Purpose...but for your hero + Repurpose!
  • Fun: High (play the mini-game of staying alive at 1HP).
  • Difficulty: Low (tons of ways to survive at 1HP).
  • Power level: Strong.
  • Recommended Player Count: 2-4.
    ==> You'll find the "stand-alone" version here.
  • Number of cards: 41 (including 4 PSS, and big draw power).

This duo crushed multiple Expert villains, including Sabretooth (retaliate 1, piercing) and Master Mold (stalwart).
Watch out for Retaliate-like effects: at 1HP, even 1 damage can kill you :)

Concept:
Winter Soldier gives you 1 Clarity of Purpose and 1 Righteous Purpose so you can get Captain America down to 1HP, and get 4 THW and 4 ATK. Energy Barrier helps a lot with reaching exactly 1HP safely.

Then, survive with: Jocasta gets you Shield Block, Yellow Jacket gets your Captain America's Helmet, Astonishing X-Men and Heroic Strike can stun/confuse, Establish Perimeter and Super-Soldiers toughen you up, Energy Barrier, Energy Shield, and Forcefield Generator (only when you're at 1HP because it's Forced).

Winter Soldier's deck will support you with:

Finally, ready a lot: Use "I Can Do This All Day!" to ready every turn, and Repurpose with your many TECH upgrades for big turns.

How to play this deck / combos:
1. Early game

2. Getting to 1HP

  • Take the first villain hit(s) on your hero's chin until it's not safe to do so anymore (around X+4 HP left, where X is the villain's ATK value).
  • Take damage with Clarity of Purpose until you reach 1HP, and stay there.
  • Energy Barrier helps you get there as well early game.
  • You can use Steve's Apartment to go back to 2HP, and immediately lose it with Clarity of Purpose if you don't have a Forcefield Generator in play.

3. Surviving at 1HP
This is the order in which you should consider your defensive options:

4. Gameplay + combos

  • Draw A LOT, but share your resources (Helicarrier, or even Avengers Mansion) with WS. He does a lot for you already, he deserves it.
  • This helps you find your Helmet very quickly if you ever lose it.
  • Yellow Jacket fetches your key upgrades and TECHs. He's great to get your Helmet back sooner if you discard it.
  • WS's Iron Lad + any other ally with 1HP left is awesome! (bonus point if he has 1HP left as well)

5. End the game!

Customize the deck:
As a reminder, for a similar but more compact experience, check out the "stand-alone, original" version of this deck: https://marvelcdb.com/deck/view/1253710

  • Earth's Mightiest Heroes seems like a no-brainer. It can ready your 4 THW/ATK hero while keeping allies at 1HP, or let your allies get faster to 1HP if you can't basic-attack that Retaliate minion... But it wasn't useful often enough to deserve 1-3 extra cards in the deck, sadly...
  • We haven't tried Specialized Training, but it should be good here.

Anyway, enjoy, have fun,
and don't forget to drop a like/fav, it's always appreciated :)
